About Us

We first want to start off by saying, we are not writers, critics or insert category here. This is a collaborative blog started by Michelle Villasenor and Min Sun Kim. We are both graphic designers from Atlanta, GA and moved to New York after we graduated from college. We had blogs in design school and decided we wanted to continue that tradition and have an outlet exploring the transition of college, the discovery of a new city, and everything in between.

What you could expect from this blog: everything… but mostly design stuff.

Michelle Villasenor
Hello! I am one of the creators of Peaches to Apples, and all other things that help me procrastinate. I am currently working in New York as a graphic designer and reside in the lovely neighborhood of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. In the spare time that I somehow still have, I like to infuse liquor (current favorite flavor: Jalapeno Tequila), expand my palette for craft beer and cheese, and play [somewhat serious] darts. My short term dreams are to learn how to pickle and brew my own beer, but I think pickling is a more ideal hobby for a small NY apartment.

Min Sun Kim
Hi there! Peach turned apple here! I currently work in New York City designing, creating, and directing all things colorful. I continuously seek creative endeavors that challenge my process of design. These endeavors are accompanied by my love for gatherings, photography, cooking, and foodie adventures. I am always open to collaborations from making Spicy Korean BBQ dishes (secret recipes) to accompany infused liquor (current happy flavor: Jalapeno Tequila) and working with creatives on other fun projects!

Tiffanni Spann
I’m a walking, talking, breathing, laughing, fucking contradiction. I’m a graphic designer & knurd for anything that lives and breaths creativity. I keep a watchful eye on art & design, music, outerspace, fashion and the funnies. All of which are vital for maximum brainal activity…yea I said it. I began my life as a combat photojournalist in the military but returned to my true love and passion of being a graphic designer where I play with color, type, illustration and photography. I’m currently married to ATL, but I do have a wandering eye…mainly for that dirty tatted-up boy NYC who calls when he gets lonely.

Liz Barclay
Liz Barclay currently lives in Brooklyn, NY working as a photographer and photojournalist for Village Voice and is a contributing photographer to a variety of publications including NY Times, Bon Appetit, and others. She is an active explorer of the culinary arts, food culture, blogging, gathering, and food styling. Aside from professional life, I enjoy design, antiques, cooking, gathering, food & prop styling, recipe trends, and blogging in my spare time. She has a  professional and personal blog, that she uses to document and share her culinary & photography adventures.
