“Sweet & Sour” is my version of that dinner table game where every guest says what the best and worst parts of the day were. As we head into the weekend, I think it’s important to get the bad stuff off your chest and remember the positives as a silver lining and energizing factor. When the weekend hits, I like to release the “sour” and embrace the “sweet.”
Sweet: I took the local bus back to my apartment instead of the express after a Target excursion. The time alone allowed me to spend some time alone in the middle of a crazy weekend and make some major headway on a new book.
Sour: I found out over the weekend that a dear friend is moving to Minneapolis. I’m bummed because we have only had a couple years to cultivate our friendship, but in that short time we became so close that I was in her wedding. I was hoping we would have more time to make our friendship even stronger. At least it seems she and her husband will be making frequent trips back to the East Coast and we now have an excuse for a girls trip.
