Gotta love a short week. Honestly, I’m particularly loving this short week because my Memorial Day Weekend was absolutely lovely. It was busier than I initially thought it would be, which meant it was kind of exhausting, but I did all the things I wanted to do: hung out with friends, spent tons of time in the park, went on a date night, grilled (for the first time this season), and drank lots of wine. It really felt like we sucked the weekend dry and made the most of it.
We spent the first half of Saturday (i.e., pre-nap) in Queens with Matt and Tomas. We picked up deli sandwiches and spent a few hours in Astoria Park/playground. It’s always fun to hit up a new park and watch Finn experience the new scenery. Also, Astoria Park is just really nice.
On Saturday we got a babysitter and headed to Broadway. We saw Shucked, which was a very cute show and included some actors I’ve been following for a while. It was so nice to get dressed up and have a night out on the town.
Jen and the girls were in town for their annual trip and I got to squeeze in some really nice quality time with them. We also met up with Richard who, I’m embarrassed to admit, I haven’t seen in ages and ages. It was the OG crew reunited!
