I mentioned I had a Summer Friday last week and dang I had a great day. Typically I fill my Summer Fridays with a 305 class and strolling the West Village, usually with a sushi lunch; however, this time I had friend to meet and errands to run so I changed things up. I stayed in the Upper East, enjoying a burger at the bar at JG Melon’s (something I’d been craving for a week) where the bartender kept my glass filled to the tippy top, stopping by a bakery for a treat, and seeing Barbie in the theater. I had myself a great day. Sadly, no Summer Friday tomorrow, but I do have a 5K race scheduled for Saturday morning so I’ve got something fun to look forward to.

Sometimes it’s pretty cool to see the construction happening in our ever-changing city.

Finn and I hit up a music class in Central Park on Saturday. He definitely did his own thing most of the time, but I think he really enjoyed himself and it was fun to have a structured outdoor activity. I’ll tell you what he reeeally enjoyed: his meal at Lexington Candy Shop afterwards.

Our team at work had a summer outing yesterday so we could do a little bonding. We rented some cabanas at the new Central Park pickle ball courts and had a blast.
