Dear Coffee

As a fully remote employee, I like to find spaces to WFH that aren’t always…at home. I’ve had a great time bouncing around coffee shops and have recently found myself frequently parking my laptop at Dear Coffee, a new shop in the UES (at 84th and Lex). With blonde wood, white fixtures, and blush accents, it’s an airy and minimalist space that feels like a chance to just breathe.

Dear Coffee’s vibe is in stark contrast to the nearby Variety Coffee, where I often found myself. I actually love Variety, but the tone here is totally different. There, it’s louder, bolder, busier. It’s the difference between heavy metal and classical. A time and place for both, but I found myself particularly relaxed here.
