It is HOT. And on top of that, it’s humid. We’re talking two-a-day showers kinda hot. Still, you won’t catch me complaining because I still prefer it to the cold. I’m thinking I need to take advantage of all the glorious sun by taking my book and a bathing suit to the park in the middle of the day. Why not?! This is the time to be in full summer mode. We were in Savannah and Hilton Head last week, going on a vacation to the DR soon, and in between we’ve got birthday parties and date nights.

It’s been a few years (not since V was born!), but we finally made it to an outdoor movie night. I’ve always loved a good picnic and movie in the park. We probably only watched 30 minutes of the movie before we decided it was time to go home, but the real fun is the park hang anyway. Plus there was something that felt extra fun and sparkly about going out on a Monday evening.

We spent the 4th of July in Hilton Head and the most special part of the trip was seeing the boys play together. Finn is finally more able to play with others and the boys really leaned in. They wanted to swim with him, they built him a fort, and spent plenty of time on the floor playing with astronaut-o toys.

I finally had my first lobstah roll of the season so NOW it really feels like summer. $27 is expensive for something I can scarf down in a matter of seconds, but it’s just such a yummy treat.
