Book Review: Margo’s Got Money Troubles

Margo has no pretenses about where the affair with her married community college professor is going. She still does it, and when she gets pregnant, she decides to keep the baby. Just keep swimming. She accepts help from her estranged, former wrestler father only to discover she has to clean up his own mess. Just keep swimming. She can’t keep her waitressing job with a baby but needs money. Just keep swimming. Margo has problems, and Only Fans proves to be the highly unconventional solution to all of them.

My longline for this one was: toxic relationships, but make them funny. Because not a single pairing of characters – no matter how you mix and match them – would be considered “normal.” But I love that Margo recognizes it. She sees everyone clearly, knows just how much they’re able to give, and accepts that for what it is. She adjusts. She is enterprising and empowering with an honest take on how women are viewed by society. Morgan is a modern day heroine.

4.5 out of 5 stars.
