Book Review: The Husbands

Through some weird chink in the space time continuum, Lauren suddenly has an endless supply of husbands – and lives – in her attic. Once she understands [for lack of a better term] the rules of the game, she plows through her stream of mates in an attempt to find the one that will finally make her settle into a perfect life.

Part of me yearned for a bit more character development out of Lauren. But I also realize that part of the point is that she is developed, at least as much as she’s ever going to be. While the husbands may change, she stays the same. While it’s tempting to continue until you find the best of the best for an ideal future, the reality is that you can only ever go for the best for you, as you are right now.

3.75 out of 5 stars.
