With a dinner reservation in Tribeca, we met friends for a drink at North Bar. The vibe is vaguely nautical, but like captain’s log-type nautical, not beach, on a cobblestone street with white [somewhat crumbling] painted brick, deep blue painted cabinetry, and swirly marble. It’s a nice reminder that you’re actually quite close to the river.

It’s also a nice reminder that people still know how to make a good cocktail. I had a great martini and seeing drinks with dill pickle gin and mezcal with rhubarb on the menu.

Unlike other neighborhoods, Tribeca isn’t speckled with bar after bar so it’s nice to find a little gem where you can confidently get a tipple.
