Mirepoix

This week has been draining in every possible way. I’m being very introspective when it comes to my personal life, and simply being extra cognizant of that stuff can take a toll on your emotions. And work has been nuts, yesterday in particular. We have a busy weekend planned but nothing on Friday night, which is a blessing because I need the moment to breathe.

On Sunday, V asked me to get my phone and take a picture – that he art directed. I happily obliged.

My Bella required some major neck surgery this week. The problem: I can’t sew. We made do and she’s hangin on. (I, on the other hand, have been an existential wreck at the prospect of losing my most treasured companion of 40 years.)

Last Thursday I took a Peloton class – my first studio class with Jess King – and had a blast. (It was a Ricky Martin artist series class so it was bound to be fun.) Also, the Gen Z staffer who took the pics that day knew her angles. Bless that social media-forward generation. I’ll actually be back in the studio tonight and am really looking forward to blowing off steam in a healthy way.
