No after work plans for me at all this week, but with several busy weekends coming up, I’m not complaining. I’ve been reveling in the mild weather this week, but I just noticed it’s supposed to go back to freezing next week so I’m trying to take the long way to the subway and enjoy the fresh air while I can.

I got a new laptop sticker at the Christmas market and I love that nyc pigeon cutie pie! I was never a sticker gal when it comes to laptops, but after decades of resisting, I gave in and it has brought me way more joy than I ever expected.

Lindsay came in town for work and I got to hang with her for almost three hours. I forgot how great it can be to just gab with a friend on a fancy hotel bar stool. Since I didn’t head home til about 11:15, I made a stop at Mickey D’s and ate while watching Heated Rivalry alone on the couch. That balance of social/solo and formal/cozy is ideal for this ambivert.

As a newborn, Finn was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. To be clear, there are worse things, but having to put him in a full body harness for 23 hours/day was traumatizing. Thanks to that early intervention, though, we’ve seen progress at each and every appointment. Yesterday was no exception. They said everything looks great and they don’t need to see him again until he’s THIRTEEN. That was music to this mother’s ears.
