The last stop on my Astoria tour was Titan Foods, which I had heard was THE place to go for feta. I expected to find a small shop with some feta, olives, and baklava, but I found a full blown Greek supermarket. The only thing that wasn’t Greek was us. I had to stop myself from going nuts and buying candy bars, frozen spinach pie, olive oil, and dips. I was only able to rein myself in because of the amazing feta selection. After tasting several of the eight or so varieties, I went with a goat’s milk version. I also picked up a container of olives for fun. This place is keeping the Greek culture alive.
