Cyril’s

Yesterday I told you I preferred The Clam Bar to the other seafood place across from my Montauk hotel.  But that doesn’t mean the other spot was bad.  Cyril’s Fish House is definitely worth a visit, if for no other reason than to see Cyril himself, always situated at his corner table with his flowing white hair, straw hat and bright suit, surrounded by stacks of papers.  Lookin like a true pimp.

The food was not bad at all, I just happened to think the lobster roll and fried oysters at The Clam Bar were better.  My issue with the lobster roll was that the celery chunks were too big and the mayo was lacking a little flavor.  BUT it was a little cheaper and came with fries so there’s that.

What I loved about Cyril’s was the kitchy decor and the fact that there was an indoors at all.  A little rain shouldn’t keep me from my seafood and cocktails.  The cocktails were also great.  I was a big fan of the frozen mudslide and the punch was a great beachy sipper.
