Welcome to 2016, folks! Have you already given up on your New Year’s Resolutions? I’m still holding strong on mine. I’m also getting back into the groove at work – it’s not as bad as I thought it would be!

This year’s NYE was much different from any other for me. Cait and Dave decided to have people over, but instead of getting dressed up in sequins, it was a pajama party. We got just as drunk as we would at any other New Years celebration, but we got to imbibe in our comfy clothes. It was actually great.

One of my first meals of 2016 was John’s Pizza on Bleeker. It’s some of the best pizza so it set the new year off on a good note. The timing of New Years was actually great. New Years Day was on a Friday, which means we got Thursday and Friday off work and then still had a full weekend to look forward to after the festivities. After partying on NYE, I took a chill approach to Friday/Friday night (brunch and a movie with Danielle). By Saturday, I was ready to go! We hit up Bleeker Street Bar and then went to John’s Pizza to soak up the booze.

My nephew started “school” this week and I just had to share the pic Allison sent me. How cute is he?! And how amazing is that backpack. As you may know, I have a love – nay, obsession – with seersucker. I may be purchasing this for myself. He’s only a year and a half so it’s not like real school, but he’ll definitely be the cutest student there. #proudgodmama
