Short week, baby! The Memorial Day long weekend actually felt like a long weekend. I can’t remember the last time I got back to work and didn’t say “yea it was good but just went by so fast.” We didn’t go out of town so it wasn’t like there was any rushing around. There was, however, just a lot of enjoying New York City and a good mix of socializing and laying low.

I was so sad when a favorite local bar, The Wharf, closed. That bar receives a lot of the credit for bringing me and my beau together. The whole building was demo’d and it looks like they’re replacing it with high end apartments. How funny would it be if one day we lived there?!

Steal of the century: Jack Rogers jellies for $29.95. They don’t look like the jellies you’re probably envisioning – they just look like Jack Rogers. For a ridiculous price. I wore them allllll weekend.

Over half of the long weekend was spent strolling. I went on several long walks, which gave me the opportunity to stumble across cute things like this piece of sidewalk art.
