Since my role at work is in transition, this week has been pretty slow.  The responsibilities from my old position are petering out, and those from the new position have yet to start.  It’s been a little boring but also kind of nice.  Tomorrow I’m off work on a personal day and had planned to spend it as just that: a total personal day, reading in the sunshine.  Unfortunately, the weather doesn’t seem to want to cooperate with my plan so I’m thinking of some fun indoor activities.

Last week I tackled my first sample sale in a while.  Thanks to Liz, I heard about Bandier’s crazy sale and made it there for the last 10 minutes of their second day.  I scored some great deals for both me and Liz and can’t wait to start wearing my purchases.  Nothing like new gear to give you some extra workout motivation!

I needed to pick up some stamps so I stopped by the post office on my way home from work.  Because NYC started from the bottom and worked its way up, the Financial District is home to some amazing old architecture and this post office was no exception.  It was grand and beautiful.

My outfit matched my book yesterday…not the first time that’s happened.  Not only were the pink and green colors the same, the Lily Pulitzer and eyelet lace were pretty on-theme for the book as well.  So far I’m loving “Everybody Rise,” by the way.
