“Sweet & Sour” is my version of that dinner table game where every guest says what the best and worst parts of the day were. As we head into the weekend, I think it’s important to get the bad stuff off your chest and remember the positives as a silver lining and energizing factor. When the weekend hits, I like to release the “sour” and embrace the “sweet.”
Sweet: We have a cookie swap today at work, and I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone brought. I took the easy way out and used this mix from Trader Joe’s, and they came out so yummy!
Sour: I got slammed with a crazy alterations bill, which brings the total cost of a bridesmaid dress I’m wearing to about $320. Why are basic chiffon bridesmaid dresses so expensive?! This makes zero sense to me. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever spent that much on a dress for myself, much less on one I’m only going to wear once. Can the wedding industry please come together and collectively make these dresses cheaper? Also, we are in the middle of a polar vortex. The temps went from 32 to 17 in a matter of 36 hours. I definitely cancelled some of my errands on account of the cold. I’m hoping it’s more bearable soon.
