Stylin: Earrings from Bauble Bar

Back in January, I was fortunate enough to be invited to a dinner with the founders of Bauble Bar.  I’ve long been a fan of the company’s fun and affordable pieces, so it was great to enjoy a nice meal and mingle with the #GirlBoss ladies who started it all.

As a thank you for attending, I received two pairs of statement earrings that I’ve really enjoyed styling.  While both styles pack a serious punch, they’re very different.  One pair is a bright and dangly number, while the other is a blingy set of jackets.  They felt very day vs. night to me so I decided to style accordingly.

The crystal set immediately felt fancier.  These would be great if you’re attending a wedding.  I would totally wear them with a dress like this or this.  The jacket style also feels a bit edgy, so they work well for a night out on the town.  They’re great to wear with an outfit that blends colors and textures because they’re a non-color; you won’t feel like you’re trying to do too much.  I wore them with a striped top (so old I don’t remember where it’s from), liquid leggings (Asos), necklace (also from Bauble Bar, coincidentally), and oxblood velvet pumps (vintage).

Note: while I originally thought these were nighttime earrings, I’ve since worn them to the office several times.  Since they’re not very long, they’re actually more versatile than I thought and have become a go-to piece.

And now for pair number 2:

This second pair would be great with a sundress, don’t you think?  However, since I got them in wintertime, sundresses were not an option. I’ve really enjoyed wearing these with sweaters, sweaters, and more sweaters.  Wouldn’t they look great with this yummy sweater?  For a more polished look, I would go with a simple wrap dress like this until it’s time to break out those sundresses.  It’s been freezing in NYC lately so sweaters have become my norm.  I’ve mostly worn them with chunky neutrals as a way to punch up a simple outfit, but in the case of this work look I wore them with a stripe-on-stripe sweater (French Connection, old), velvet pants (Gap, old), and toyed with a multi strand faux pearl necklace (Forever 21, old).

Thank you, Bauble Bar, for these amazing earrings.  I’ve looooved wearing them!

PS – Despite these two looks, I do not always wear black pants and striped tops.  It’s actually quite strange both outfits featured these components.  That’s why I made sure to link some other options that I think would be perfect.
