Cheeseburger Skewers

It’s still football season, but it’s getting colder so tailgating is moving indoors. This is the perfect appetizer when you want cookout vibes but don’t want to stand over a grill in the cold. It also comes together in 5 minutes – literally.

Prep your ingredients so you can assemble quickly. I stacked 5 Kraft singles and sliced them into quarters. I also got out some fresh baby spinach. This is the best lettuce to use because it’s pre-washed, one piece is ideal, and it skewers easily without breaking. You’ll have plenty leftover but you’ll just make a salad later. You’ll also want to slice grape tomatoes in half. Cook some frozen meatballs in the microwave (only takes two minutes for the minis) and skewer them on a toothpick with a piece of cheese, spinach leaf, and tomato half. Serve with a ketchup and mayo sauce (using a funky ketchup like TJ’s truffle or Sur Kensington’s goes a long way here) and some pickles.

Everything you love about a cheeseburger in one perfect bite! Honestly these are easier AND cuter than sliders. Also, I know Kraft singles ain’t fancy but they feel like grilling season to me and melt soooo nicely over the meatballs.
