Happy St. Patrick’s Day! You probably know by now that, as a Savannah native, St. Patty’s is a fave for me. We’re planning on celebrating over the weekend in an Irish section of the Bronx but I can’t help but feel jolly today.
It’s not only St. Patty’s Day; today is also Purim. While I don’t personally do much to celebrate the holiday, I always make sure to get myself some hamentashen. I immediately knew I wanted to get the traditional cookies from Breads Bakery. They were as delicious as I remembered, including the unique pizza hamentashen.
I started taking Finn to tummy time class at the JCC on Thursdays and have really been enjoying it. It’s nice having a bit more structure to our playtime and I feel less crazy when there are other people in the room and it’s not just the two of us having a “conversation.” I also love having something to look forward to and a way to break up the day.
It’s been quite a while since I got a bodega sandwich and it really hit the spot. In case you’re wondering, this grilled wrap is roast beef, provolone, chipotle mayo, avocado, and shredded lettuce.
