Mirepoix

The weekend wasn’t so crazy…and yet I felt like I was on the go the whole time in the best way. After going out much harder than I should have on Thursday night (Beth was in town and it’s been years – I had to!), I spent Friday night with pizza and tv on the couch. The rest of the weekend included lots of time in the park and a backyard hang with friends. This weekend is Mother’s Day (the first I’ll actually get to spend with my child!) and my lovable husband has offered to let me have some me time with a workout class before bringing Finn to meet me for a lil fam brunch and I’m very much looking forward to it. Our company is also closing on Friday to observe a mental health day and I’ve planned QUITE the day for myself tomorrow. It’s shaping up to be a phenomenal weekend – hopefully this weather keeps doing its job.

While the boys played golf, the wives hung out to watch the kids and drink wine. With nine kids running around, it was relatively chaotic but fun to be in the trenches together. Kathleen had the genius idea to make pizzas and it was such a fun (and delicious) activity.

Really embracing springtime with these flowers. Ain’t they cheerful?

It’s teacher appreciation week and I’m happy to shower Finn’s teachers with love (and snacks) because they do such a wonderful job with him every day and keep him happy and engaged.
