If you’re looking for a great place to shop for alcohol, I highly recommend heading to the UES and checking out Vinyl Wine and Vinyl Beer. Upon entering the store(s), I really didn’t see the connection between the alcohol and the vinyl. However, after poking around on the site, I learned there’s a wine club that explores the worlds of both wine and music. Sign me up!
Both stores have curated a really nice selection that focuses on craft brews and small production wines. There is a lot of care that goes into stocking these places. I love love love the labels on the necks of the bottles. It’s like having my own personal sommelier without having to interact with anyone…plus it’s super cute. And if I do want some human interaction slash additional detail, the employees are a wonderful help.
I’m not a beer drinker, but my beau is so between the two of us, we can do some damage at both stores. In fact, I can make a dent in both stores all on my own because while the wine shop has what I like to drink, the beer store has a great snack selection with lots of great tinned fish.
The only downside is that the two stores aren’t physically connected so you can’t buy both wine and beer/snacks at the same time.
