Is it just me or have we already lived like three Januarys? This month feels impossibly long. I’ve been filling it with very fun plans and perhaps it’s because it’s so cold, but I just feel like it’s gone on forever. I’m ready for February…but really that’s because I’m ready for warmer weather and I don’t think I’m going to get that next month so maybe what I’m really ready for is April?

One of my Christmas gifts was a set of tickets to the Jewish Film Festival at Lincoln Center. The movie was the premiere of “Looking for Chloé” about the origins and impact of the luxury-ready-to-wear fashion house. My beau wanted to watch the playoffs, but Kathleen was able to swoop in and take his ticket. I love a good documentary and had never been to the theater at Lincoln Center so it was a very cool experience – and I got to hang with a bestie!

I was THRILLED to find a spot on the waitlist for an in-studio Peloton run (usually they’re straight up “full”) – and then to actually get in. A 30 minute run after the amount I drank the night before (Kathleen and I had a few too many dirty martinis after the film fest) was not my best idea, but it was a ton of fun. I might not have been in peak form, but I still managed to clock 3.52 miles and finished at the top of the leaderboard. Also, Matty was awesome. Really hoping I can find my way into more classes.

Every other Thursday, when I decamp to the coffee shop while our apartment is being cleaned, I wonder why I don’t work from someplace outside my own home more often. It feels good to be in real clothes and have strangers see that you actually exist. And it’s an excuse to drink good coffee that someone else prepares. And it helps me focus. When will I learn?
