The Queensboro

The goal of The Queensboro is to build a community, and I feel like they succeeded. Not only do they highlight the Queens community through the beer, coffee, and produce they stock, they host events that encourage gathering and neighborhood socialization. There are kids movies, open mic nights, and wine nights. We were just there for a chill supper, but I could tell it’s the kind of place I’d like to have in my neighborhood.

We started by sharing the chips and dip and this was a great take on a classic app. Cassava, potato, plantain, sweet potatoes made up the chip assortment- we love variety – and the French onion dip is homemade. I only wish there was a bit more dip.

Albert got swordfish with polenta, Karina got the fish sandwich (no pic), and I got the Asian-style green beans and French onion soup. My meal may seem weird and small but it was the perfect amount and that soup was ideal for a rainy night.
