We love a short week! I spent the long weekend in Savannah and Hilton Head fully relaxing. Now I’m back and back to activities each weekend. I love having things to look forward to and love even more when the weather will start cooperating – enough with this rain!
I was traveling on Thursday afternoon so I decided to take the whole day off and it was a great decision. I didn’t do anything groundbreaking, but while I was running an errand I decided to pop into H Mart. Why not? That’s exactly what random days off are for. The wall of kimchi was inspiring. I walked away with several snackies and a smile on my face.
I’ve always stayed in NYC over Memorial Day weekend and love how the city empties out. This year, however, we planned a cousins trip to HHI and watching the next gen play together reminded me what it was all about. Sadly, Albie had to handle some things and stayed behind at the last minute, but it just showed me how amazing my fam is. They helped out by watching V so I could run to the grocery store or shower and, the just like my age group, these kids play so well together. I couldn’t have been happier watching them laugh nonstop – even if it meant they took over my favorite spot in the house.
V decided he’s “not a fan of the ocean” and, honestly, same. I’m much more of a pool gal myself. We headed back to the house before the rest of the crew when he tired of the salt water and soon it was nap time. That meant Adirondack chair, book, and rosé time for me! I couldn’t have been happier. Also making me happy: that this bathing suit fit super well.
