This week feels like one where I’m just getting things in order. Whether it’s doing laundry, pre-planning content at work, or mapping out travel to Coney Island so we can cheer Albert on in the half marathon, I feel like this week has been all about getting ready in various ways. Sometimes it’s just like that! This month is packed with plans every weekend, which means it will fly by. Before I know it, it’ll be my birthday on June 7th – yowzas!

We spent the weekend in Atlanta celebrating Lila’s bat mitzvah, which felt like a super fun wedding weekend. Going to a bat mitzvah as an adult can be kind of awesome. Despite many things going wrong (Albert almost missing the plane due to a TSA snafu and our sitter completely ghosting us), we still had a great time. Finn particularly loved Puttshack and wanted to spend the entire time there. Maybe we’ve got a golfer on hands?! I do love The Masters…

I absolutely love an aquarium and the Georgia Aquarium is one of the absolute best. Finn had a blast, and I was basically a kid myself.

I have spent the past few Mother’s Days getting brunch with my Alberts and then spending the rest of the day on my own doing my favorite things, like a Peloton studio class. This year, we were flying back from Atlanta and were also exhausted from traveling so the day looked a little different. I couldn’t wrap my head around making plans in advance and ended up spending most of the time active parenting. Considering how Albert really stepped it up when we were in Atlanta, I can’t complain. The weather was really nice, so we enjoyed a picnic in the park (first of the season) and getting takeout for supper so I wouldn’t have to clean a single dish. All in all, a nice little Sunday.
