We spent the BEST weekend in Massachusetts visiting one of my best friends and her family. I had not seen them in person in four years and it was so good for the soul. I was even able to reconnect with her parents and sister, who I’ve gotten to know well (19 years of friendship’ll do that to ya). We spent loads of time by the pool, hit up a workout class, had a lobster feast at home, a double date, and even a round of golf for the guys. I’m so glad we did it.

Before heading to Mass, Steph texted to tell me to bring workout clothes because we were going to F45. I’ve never done the class, which has a cult-like following, but I’m down for anything so I just went with it. I get why people love this place so much! I got in a great workout and loved seeing the community Steph has built.

Before our flight, they announced they needed people to give up their seats and were offering $1,100. I told Albert he should do it, but he didn’t want to lose the day waiting in the airport. When they bumped it to $1,600, it was too good to pass up, especially when they booked me on another flight that would still get me home before bedtime. I bought a new book and settled in for 5 hours of reading and tv – TWIST MY ARM. Turns out my next flight was canceled and they couldn’t rebook me til the next day. I pivoted, bought an Amtrak ticket, hauled booty to the train, and walked in my front door at 9:33 pm. Later than expected, but not so late that I was bleary eyed, and my pockets were much heavier. And I read a phenomenal book. What a win!

Heirlooms are gnarly gorgeous.
