Madras Dosa

In midtown Manhattan we love an assembly line lunch option and Madras Dosa is a great one when you’re looking for something that’s not salad or Mediterranean or Chipotle.

I did a build your own with chicken, corn and cheese, and I think a mash? I also ordered a samosa chaat to share with Lucia (who so smartly suggested the fast casual spot in the first place).

At first I thought the price rang up on the high side, but then I realized just how large the portions were. I went in starving and there was no way I could finish it, which was a real shame because it was absolutely packed with flavor. Unfortunately, we were on our way to the theater, and these leftovers are not really conducive to sneaking under the seat. I shed a small tear as I threw out the remainder.

Think: snack/street foods turned into the whole dang meal. They also have a few fusion-ish items like a cheesesteak dosa and masala fries. The only thing I don’t like is that I’m outside the delivery radius.
