I can’t believe there was a time when I was considering not going to Hart’s wedding. I had the best time and was so happy to celebrate such a fun and beautiful occasion with everyone. That said, it has been a whirlwind with this being the fifth wedding in just six weeks, topped off with a brutal red eye flight back to NYC and straight to the office.
Though the wedding festivities didn’t begin until Saturday night, I had Friday off for Memorial Day so we decided to make the most of the weekend. We spent our first night at an Airbnb in Venice so we could explore a new area. I was nervous about doing Airbnb (staying at a stranger’s place while they’re there – eek!), but we had a great experience. The house had some great decor and was right off the beach – primo location. One thing I really liked about this area was how all the homes look sort of like beach shacks (even when they’re super nice inside) but they all look kind of different. It was fun to walk up and down the alley, looking at all the different homes.
This couple was just so happy and beautiful and perfect.
View of the Santa Monica Pier from the beach. Touristy, but fun.
