“Sweet & Sour” is my version of that dinner table game where every guest says what the best and worst parts of the day were. As we head into the weekend, I think it’s important to get the bad stuff off your chest and remember the positives as a silver lining and energizing factor. When the weekend hits, I like to release the “sour” and embrace the “sweet.”
Sweet: I have developed a great morning routine. I pack my lunch the night before and then I have time to make coffee at home in the morning. The coffee at my office is terrible (even instant would be a step up) so this gets some good quality caffeine in my system without having to pay for coffee shop coffee each morning (which is what I had started doing). Also, it really gets my mornings off to a nice, calm start.
Sour: My apartment is nowhere near as tidy as I like it. And I’ve been eating terribly lately without working out, to the point where I’ve gotten a little soft in the middle. Those two things combined just make me feel gross. Thankfully, they’re easy enough to change.
