Ok so this week at work has been kinda crazy, and not in a good way. Time Inc. is going through a massive re-org. Thankfully, I still have a job, but it’s a different one than I currently have. I’m excited about the change, but I have been less than thrilled about how the overall situation has been handled. It has made the last few weeks (especially this one) stressful, and I’m looking forward to the time when everything is settled.
I love the view of my house from the river as I’m pulling up to my dock. I’ve been back in NYC for a week and definitely missing home. Given all the craziness at work, I’m kinda wishing I was still in Savannah right about now.
On Sunday the NYC Dawgs hosted a Freshmen Sendoff event so incoming UGA Freshmen from the NYC area could have a meet-and-greet before heading to Athens. It was so cute to see the excited Freshmen and parents and welcome them to the Bulldawg Nation. It’s also crazy how young they are – it was weird to realize this is the class of 2020. Eek!
I could not be more excited that Trader Joe’s is set to open this month just five blocks from my apartment! I was walking by over the weekend and the construction looks almost complete. I noticed a sign waiting to be hung, informing me that the prices in NYC are the same as any other Trader Joe’s across the country. I’m so happy they haven’t raised prices here just because rents are higher, unlike most stores. It makes me like them even more (if that were possible).
