After his mother dies, Fin Hadley, at 11 years old, is sent to live with his older half sister, Lady. Lady, both gorgeous and wealthy, flits about doing whatever she wants and leaving love-struck men in her wake. She claims she wants to be married, but she is a free spirit who can’t bear to be tied down. Fin seems to be the only constant in her life and it often feels as though he is acting as her guardian rather than the other way around.
It’s the 1960s and everyone is speaking the language of peace and love, but Fin just yearns for stability. As he grows up, he wishes Lady would do the same and that they would become a true family.
4 out of 5 stars.
