“Sweet & Sour” is my version of that dinner table game where every guest says what the best and worst parts of the day were. As we head into the weekend, I think it’s important to get the bad stuff off your chest and remember the positives as a silver lining and energizing factor. When the weekend hits, I like to release the “sour” and embrace the “sweet.”
Sweet: We had our company holiday party on Wednesday. While it seems very strange to have a holiday party more than a month late, it was nice to break up the work schedule a bit. I almost didn’t go but glad I did because it was more fun than I expected. Also, I FaceTimed with Brooks last night and it was our longest FaceTime yet! It was so much fun to have a good, long conversation with him.
Sour: I had one of those moments at work where there was a lag in communication that I felt like was all my fault. It stressed me out to the point that I didn’t sleep at all on Monday night. Thankfully, if became clear that the issue was not all on me. It also reminded me to over-communicate and continue to ask questions so I can perform my job to the best of my ability.
