I’m in Italy right now (woohoo!!!), but just before I left for my honeymoon, there were some pretty fun things happening in the good ol U-S-of A. I hope everyone is having a great week!
It’s definitely [finally] summer, which means it’s time for the ice cream man to make his appearance all around the city. You’re never too old for the ice cream man (though I’m pretty happy right now to be getting my sweet treat from the gelato man).
On Saturday, I was supposed to go to Pinknic with a bunch of girlfriends. It’s basically a rosé festival. You hang on Governor’s Island in the [mandatory] white and pink dress code and sip rosé. Sadly, rain on Friday night left the island flooded so it was cancelled. We decided to make the most of it and wore our outfits anyway while sipping rosé at a restaurant. We ended up ordering several triple magnum size wine bottles – the biggest I’d ever seen.
Sometimes you forget Manhattan is an island. I’m always happiest when on the water so I love that we spent Saturday at a restaurant right on the Hudson.
