This past weekend was nice and busy with 1.5 much-needed hours to myself on Saturday night. It doesn’t sound like a lot of downtime, but it was exactly what I needed to balance out the business of the rest of the weekend. Tomorrow we’re waking up extra early (like getting into an Uber at 4:30 AM kinda early) so we can head off to Punta Cana for family vacay. I already know this trip is EXACTLY what I need right now.
My beau was supposed to play golf on Saturday, but when his plans cancelled we decided to take a trip to Arthur Avenue instead – a favorite pastime. We now know exactly how to work the neighborhood, starting with streetside oysters at Cosenzas. In addition to all the great food we ate there, we brought back all our favorites and I’ve been enjoying our loot all week long.
On Sunday we spent the afternoon in Valhalla with Albert’s family. Amanda grilled pizzas that were so delicious – if you’ve never had grilled pizza, get on it. I don’t grill nearly as often as I should…I think that’s something that needs to change.
By now, I’m sure you’re sick of hearing about the solar eclipse, but it was a pretty cool sight to behold. If you missed it, the next one is just 7 years away. It happens to occur on my wedding anniversary so perhaps I’ll plan a little anni trip to Dallas, a city I’ve never been to that happens to be on the path of totality.
