Book Review: Scrappy Little Nobody

I love Anna Kendrick, first and foremost because she’s quite talented (she can act AND dance!), but also because she’s hilarious and relatable.  If you’ve ever read her tweets, you know this girl is witty.  If you happen to enjoy those tweets, this book is a good one to pick up since it’s the same wry, self-deprecating humor without the 140 character limit.

It’s nice to get a bit of the backstory of how Kendrick plodded her way to her seemingly out-of-nowhere breakout into acting.  She talks about her double life going from Maine to NYC to perform on Broadway, her big move to LA with un-glamorous Ikea twin bed, and what it felt like to finally make it big.  We’re not talking groundbreaking stuff, but it’s definitely cute so it’s a good one if you’re looking for a celebrity memoir to break up your reading routine.

3.5 out of 5 stars.
