Book Review: Scrappy Little Nobody

I love Anna Kendrick, first and foremost because she’s quite talented (she can act AND dance!), but also because she’s hilarious and relatable. Β If you’ve ever read her tweets, you know this girl is witty. Β If you happen to enjoy those tweets, this book is a good one to pick up since it’s the same wry, self-deprecating humor without the 140 character limit.

It’s nice to get a bit of the backstory of how Kendrick plodded her way to her seemingly out-of-nowhere breakout into acting. Β She talks about her double life going from Maine to NYC to perform on Broadway, her big move to LA with un-glamorous Ikea twin bed, and what it felt like to finally make it big. Β We’re not talking groundbreaking stuff, but it’s definitely cute so it’s a good one if you’re looking for a celebrity memoir to break up your reading routine.

3.5 out of 5 stars.
