I only took three days off work, but our family vacation was so refreshing. This trip heralded a new family group with the addition of Albert and Brooks. Our Konter crew has grown, and I love it. I came back to a busy NYC but don’t mind because the weather has warmed up a bit, which always puts me in a better mood. Tomorrow night I’ll be attending my first work event (exciting!), but the rest of the weekend should be pretty low key. Also, can y’all believe it’s March?!
We always stay home one or two nights of our ski trip to have a more relaxing evening. After a long day of skiing, it’s nice to sink into the couch and not have to worry about drying your hair. This year, we lit a fire and made s’mores, which was just as much fun for me as it was for my 3 year old nephew. I took mine next level by adding peanut butter, and it was probably my best decision of the trip.
My college roomie, Miesh, moved to Salt Lake City about two years ago. It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to hang out, but we were able to pick right back up. I’m jealous she’s just a quick 25 minute drive from the slopes and can easily go skiing every weekend – what a life! It was so nice being able to catch up with her and to finally meet her husband since I couldn’t make it to their wedding. Hopefully we won’t let so much time pass before we see each other next!
One of the best parts about skiing is the après ski. I love a good hot toddy! This one was particularly good – it was made with brown sugar bourbon, vanilla simple syrup, and coffee. YUM.
