This week has been a busy one at work and next will be just as crazy…but I’m loving it. I’m heading to Cali tonight for a wedding weekend that’s bound to be a blast. It will be a quick trip, but hopefully I’ll sneak in a sight or two that have been on my list.

I wasn’t happy with anything I had to wear for this wedding, so I went on a bit of a shopping spree. After 7 months of not buying a single article of clothing, it felt almost wrong to spend money on clothes. I’m happy to have a few fun new pieces in my closet, but I think it’s time for me to go back to being frugal for a couple months.

After two years off (due to our wedding and then our comically small temporaryy apartment), I am back to hosting a seder, rounding out a DECADE since my first one. This was the smallest crew yet, but it still felt special with family and close friends.

On Friday, I noticed a small tear in my jacket. It’s one I love (a beige faux leather one that goes with everything) but I knew I wouldn’t be able to repair it and was not likely to wear it again, sadly. That said, the tear wasn’t super noticeable so I thought it could still find a good home. My walk home was warm so I had removed the jacket and when I stopped at Housing Works, I decided to leave it there.
