Mirepoix

In two days I’m heading back to NYC. Don’t get me wrong, I love the city and will be very happy to be back in my housey, but I’m going to miss being here something FIERCE. I’ve never ever been away from home for such a long stretch of time so, even after two full weeks, I still don’t feel like I’ve caught up on all the Savannah/Hilton Head time I’d missed. I haven’t even left yet and I’m already thinking about when I can come back.

A glass of rosé in the pool. It’s hard to think of a better way to spend an afternoon. Also, all the wine we were drinking at the beach was courtesy of Bill’s wine club, nakedwines.com. They all tasted amazing and I was shocked when he told me how inexpensive it was. It’s hard for me not to support my local wine shops, but this deal may be tough to pass up!

My nephew turned 6 a few days before we arrived so we decided to bring his gift with us. Like always, I got him a book, but we also planned a tie dye party that the whole fam could do together. I think I had just as much fun (more?!) as the boys! And, yes, they are tie dying in their undies. Would you want to get dye all over your clothes?!
