Man oh man is it tough being back in NYC. I had such a great time with my family over the last two weeks. I even got to squeeze in a dinner with my closest friend from high school who I haven’t seen in years. While I only took the first week as vacation, WFH felt way different with all the distractions of Savannah so it does feel good to be back in a more normal routine. And I’m not too sad since my Mom will be here in about a week!

I love reading by the pool but really love reading *in* the pool. I really leveled up my game with a sturdy raft this time.

While I was home I through a baby shower for one of my friends and it was so nice to see her and her hubby after COVID kept us apart for so long. It also meant this was a mostly virtual shower, but even from afar people really got into the safari theme, dressing in animal print to toast the mom-to-be. Even though there were only about 6 of us there in person, we had on-theme onesies, a balloon arch, and diaper cake as decoration. And if you’re in the Charleston area, Hamby’s is a great caterer. All their food was delicious – highly recommend.

Back when Jen and Lila were here we hit up Color Me Mine and I’m pretty sure I had even more fun than Lila. I’m actually pretty into the bowl I made. It’s the perfect size for my blackberries, which have been so good this summer.
