Our offices are closed today in commemoration of Veterans Day – a complete and pleasant surprise. Since it was unexpected, I have zero plans but will try to make the most of it. I’m about to get in a workout and hoping to spend the rest of the day reading and maybe running an errand or two. My beau is on his first biz trip since the panny started and I’m a bit giddy to have the place to myself for a couple nights. Pre-pandemic there was a lot of business travel for both of us so this feels blissfully normal.
On Saturday, Albert ran a 5K that ended in Central Park at the same spot as the official marathon (which would be happening the next day) finish line. It was fun to get an early start to Saturday, cheer him on, and enjoy a fun post-race brunch.
Love love love Marathon Sunday. We’re lucky to live right by a fun mile marker, complete with live music and a vibrant cheering section. It’s always one of the best days of the year and although we didn’t have or attend a party this year, we still did mimosas and made signs for the runners.
As an avid reader, the baby gifts that have gotten me the giddiest are the books. I love building our bambino’s library and was super excited to get our first bath book in the mail this week.
