We have some fun things planned for this weekend, but the number one thing I need to do is get crafty with our Halloween costumes. The fact that we’re basically at Halloween means we’re almost at November…which means Thanksgiving isn’t too far away, and then the festivities just snowball from there.

We went to a fancyyypants wedding over the weekend. It was held at the Rainbow Room so I finally get to cross that iconic venue off the bucket list. It was lovely and I’m so happy for the couple. It was also fun to have an excuse to get really dressed up (black tie!) and dance the night away.

I love the annual Fall Festival at V’s school. It’s always such a fun event that thrives because of the great community they’ve built. And the best part is that they raised a record amount, which means the amazing activities they offer are properly funded. It was also heartwarming to see how much more comfortable Finn was this year. He can be very shy at the start of events, but he was ready to immediately run around with his friends.

Some people dislike the birthday party circuit, but I love having 2.5 hours of a weekend planned by someone else. I may have to attend (gladly!), but I don’t have to have an eagle eye on my child. The latest party was a gymnastics one, and Finn loved letting out his energy. And now that we’re only about 6 weeks away from his own birthday, he’s in full party planning mode. It’s fun to see him getting excited about it!
