Maybe it’s because I’m trying to squeeze in lots of activities before a bambino drastically changes life, maybe it’s just because I’ve been really motivated by the warm fuzzies of the holiday season, but I’ve been doing all sorts of fun things. Unlike last year at this time, we’re not in total lockdown and I’m enjoying the freedom.

I got the booster! I’m so excited to be extra protected against this dang virus. I had almost zero symptoms. I woke up in the middle of the night with a stuffy nose and since I’m a little short of breath being pregnant, it kept me up for a while so I was tired the following day. My arm was only very slightly sore.

I recently planned a team lunch for work and chose Bubby’s as our destination. I forgot how good it was! I also forgot how nice it was to work in the office directly with my teammates, which I did for a few hours after lunch. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed the flexibility of remote work, but every once in a while it’s nice to be in the office in person.

I loved when the garçon served me a mocktail on the couch during the SEC Championship game. What I didn’t love was the outcome of that game. I’ve been riding the high of being an undefeated team and ranked number 1 in the nation that this loss was a tough pill to swallow. But at least if I’m going to watch the Dawgs lose, I’m going to do so with an epic meat and cheese spread and the delicious seasonal Sparkling Pomegranate Punch from Trader Joe’s.
