Belle has been friends with Summer for over a decade. They survived high school together and crashed on each others’ couches when struggling in LA as young 20 somethings. Now they’re older twenty somethings and Belle is still struggling in LA but Summer is living her best life as a gold digger. Now that she’s living her most glam life, she’s invited her besties to cruise the Riviera on her boyfriend’s yacht. What should be a week of all expenses paid relaxation turns dramatic as Belle begins to feel like prisoner rather than a guest and suspects her best friend may be a sociopath.
This is chick lit meets thriller, which makes for a great beach read. It’s a bit over the top, but isn’t that how guilty pleasures are supposed to be?
