Mirepoix

This week, Finn started a new feeding/nap schedule and I started finding ways to get a few things done in the pockets of time I have for myself. I’ve even been able to get a bit of cooking done, which does wonders for my state of mind. I’ve also been finding some new shows to binge, books to read, and exercise classes to take. The moments I have to actually enjoy these pursuits are swift, but I’m trying to make it work.

Over the weekend it was cold cold cold. That means I didn’t leave my house at all. By this week I was starting to go stir crazy, but I have to admit it was beautiful when the snow blanketed our courtyard. Finn is too young to go out and play in it, but I can’t wait to introduce him to the white fluffy stuff next year.

It’s sumo citrus season! I actually don’t enjoy eating a normal orange as a snack. These ginormous oranges are a whole different thing, though. If you’ve never tried them, now is the time.

After reading about the best subscription boxes for kids, I added Bookroo to our baby registry and my cousin gifted us three months. We just got our first box and love the books that were included. And who doesn’t love getting mail?!
