When I recently found myself in Midtown in need of a spot to work and a caffeine boost, I opened up Google Maps and walked myself to literally the closest coffee shop from where I was standing. That coffee shop happened to be Madman Espresso, which I’d heard of (more specifically their Greenwich Village/West Village locations) but never tried.
Penn Station is not an area that comes to mind when you think of local coffee shops, certainly not when you need one that has the room to sit and do some work. But Madman Espresso offers just that – and with very nice baristas to boot. I was also really vibing with the playlist. Overall: recommend.
