Am I the only one who can’t stop singing Gaga’s/Beyonce’s “Telephone” at this bar…or when talking about this bar?

Hello Hello is a bar in Chelsea that’s also close enough to MSG if you need a new spot to hang before a concert or game. It opened this past summer and offered a refresh of sorts to a relatively dead area. It’s a welcome change to walk into someplace with groovy 70s vibes and a great cocktail menu. They’re trying to be a “high dive” aka a high end dive bar. I’m pretty sure that means they aim to serve quality food and drink without pretension. The only weird thing is that with the wood paneling and neon signs, this felt very much like it was inspired by a basement…except it’s street level with big bright windows. It’s a coffee spot by day when, I’m sure, all that light feels great and normal.

The cocktails are inventive and balanced, just like the hot dogs because YUP there’s a whole hot dog menu here and one of them even has pineapple kimchi. And can confirm that song is officially stuck in my head for the foreseeable future since writing this post.
