I love discovering new affordable and high quality omakase restaurants and Uka Omakase is my latest amazing find. Located on 60th between 2nd and 3rd, right by the mouth of the Queensboro Bridge, this is not where you envision an elite omakase experience…but that’s just what you’ll get.
At lunch, you can get 10 courses for $38. At dinner, they have 16 courses for $56 or 18 courses at the VIP counter for $99.
They’ve also got a sake pairing and add-ons if you’re feeling fancy. I got all the things, including the extras. The sushi was excellent and the menu thoughtfully designed around whatever is fresh. Based on the quality, the cost is shockingly low. I will most certainly be back.
