When Finn was dead set on mac and cheese for lunch, I google mapped the closest place to acquire it. Home Kitchen popped up, which is great because I’d always wondered about it.
Inside was nice and homey – perfectly matched to the food being served, which includes short ribs, meatloaf, fried cauliflower, and chicken pot pie. Let’s call it elevated pub food that’s served in a rustic brick kitchen instead of a pub.
Finn got his mac and cheese as well as a hot dog, Albert got an omelette, and I went with the crispy artichoke salad. Here’s the thing: for $21, this salad was small and didn’t have any protein…and that was kinda disappointing. That said, it was absolutely delicious. I wanted more. So much more.
Reading the window signs as we left, I realized the best time to return may just be for happy hour or steak/lobster night. They had some seriously good specials.
