Meatpacking has quite the brunch scene.  Every once in a while, it’s great to get dressed up like you’re going to a club and dance on tables in the early afternoon…and then you realize you just spent an entire paycheck and it’s not even dark out.  You’ve got quite the dilemma: you want to experience party brunch with all the beautiful people of Manhattan, but you like the thrifty appeal of those bottomless brunch deals that are usually more laid back.

Revel is the perfect middle ground.  Unlike most brunch spots in the trendy Meatpacking District, they actually offer a bottomless brunch.  $40 gets you an entrée all the mimosa/bellini/sangria pitchers you can drink in a 2 hour time period.  Also, the portions of food here were much larger than at any of those other spots.  My frittata was packed with tons of prosciutto, mushrooms, and just enough truffle oil.

Just like the other Meatpacking spots, this place gets a little more wild around 3 PM with a dj.  I made sure to dress up a bit and definitely didn’t feel out of place.  Maybe not quite as wild as, say, Bagatelle, but I’ve never spent less than $125 at Bagatelle.  Though it feels less like a club, I loved that the whole thing goes down in their garden area.  It makes you feel less like a groundhog when you emerge at the end of your mimosa laden meal.
